National Vietnam Veterans Day
March 29th has been designated as National Vietnam Veterans Day by an act of Congress and signed into law by President Trump. This day honors the men and women who served with valor and honor and made sacrifices only a few will truly understand.
Forty-four years have passed since the last troops withdrew from Vietnam. 2.7 million service members served in Vietnam and more than 58,000 were killed and another 304,000 were wounded. Our servicemen and women came home to a nation in turmoil and were often treated poorly and never received the hero’s welcome they never asked for but truly deserved.
Today we would like to say “Thank You” to all who served. Your sacrifice is appreciated and will never be forgotten.
Welcome home, welcome home.
