DONATEServices
WORKPLACE TRANSITION
We provide workplace transition support to both active-duty service members entering the civilian marketplace as well as veterans pursuing new careers. Our primary support in this area relates to assisting with creating or modifying a resume, translating military skills into those currently sought after in the civilian workplace, interview skills and pursuing relevant career paths.
PEER NETWORKING
Valor & Honor facilitates peer networking via events and through social media. The suicide rate among veterans is at an alarming level, with most estimates showing 22 per day. Many veterans miss the camaraderie and interaction with other military members and we believe this connection with others who understand their experiences is crucial in stemming the tide of suicide.
MILITARY ADVOCACY & VETERAN SUPPORT
Valor & Honor hosts hundreds of active-duty military every year for outdoor adventures. In addition, we partner with local schools and active duty military members to educate students about the Armed Services and donate vital food and supplies for local veterans in need.
LICENSED FAMILY LIFE COUNSELOR
We’re honored to provide our participant’s access to a licensed family life counselor experienced with supporting the Armed Services. Whether they need to discuss issues related to their service or other issues they are dealing with they have a resource available to assist them.
