As a volunteer, you’ll:
- Support therapeutic outdoor experiences for veterans, active-duty military, and first responders
- Be part of a close-knit, values-driven community
- Develop meaningful connections and leadership skills

Volunteer Roles
We offer flexible ways to get involved based on your location, time, and interest:
Event Support
Help organize or assist at outdoor adventures (whitewater rafting, hunting, diving, etc.)
Logistics & Coordination
Assist with transportation, meals, and gear setup
Admin & Outreach
Help with communications, data entry, and volunteer coordination
Advocacy & Fundraising
Represent VHO at events, help with raffles, or assist in donor engagement
Who Can Volunteer?
We welcome individuals, families, and corporate groups! No prior military or outdoor experience required-just a willingness to serve and support.
Requirements:
- Age 18+ (minors welcome with parent/guardian)
- Completion of a waiver & background check for certain roles
- Attendance at a brief virtual orientation
