What we do
At Valor & Honor Outdoors, we believe that those who have selflessly served our nation deserve moments of peace, connection, and renewal—without the burden of cost or logistics. That’s why we fully cover every aspect of our outdoor adventures for active-duty service members, veterans, first responders, and their families. From travel and lodging to equipment and meals, we handle all the details, allowing our participants to focus solely on healing, camaraderie, and the joy of the great outdoors.
But what truly sets us apart is the heart behind our mission. Operated entirely by passionate volunteers—many of whom are veterans and first responders themselves—we go beyond the adventure, fostering lifelong bonds that extend well past the event.
Whether it’s a wounded warrior rediscovering peace on a quiet hunt, a first responder finding respite by the water’s edge, or a family sharing moments in nature, we’re here to create experiences that heal, connect, and honor.
Outdoor Experiences
Valor & Honor Outdoors offers fully coordinated outdoor adventures like hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, horseback riding, skydiving, mountaineering, rock climbing, and scuba diving, all designed to bring healing, camaraderie, and renewal to service members, veterans, first responders, and their families.
Each experience is tailored to create meaningful connections and lasting memories, free from financial or logistical stress.
Hunting Experiences

Valor & Honor Outdoors offers fully coordinated hunting experiences across 14 states—including archery and rifle big game hunts, upland bird, and waterfowl hunts—all designed to give service members, veterans, first responders, and their families the chance to reconnect with nature, find camaraderie, and create lasting memories.
Fishing Experiences

Valor & Honor Outdoors offers unforgettable fishing adventures, from peaceful fly-fishing trips and lake fishing to thrilling near-shore and offshore excursions—all tailored for service members, veterans, first responders, and their families to relax, recharge, and connect through the great outdoors.

We conduct activities year-round, with our current focus on fishing, hunting, camping and boating. We are working on offering metal detecting in the near future. We lease several farms, and have access to other private land thanks to the support of generous landowners.
Additionally we fish many of the public lakes in the central North Carolina area. In 2025 we anticipate being able to provide several outings in other states as well. As our donor and volunteer base grows, we look forward to expanding our impact to a greater number of deserving service members.
