A Day of Fishing and Camaraderie
Today we hosted 17 soldiers and 1 Marine for a day of fishing and camaraderie. As we took some time to reflect on those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom we celebrated the opportunity to honor those serving today.
The town of Badin, NC once again opened their arms to our military participants. Special thanks to the Badin Volunteer Fire Dept for the use of their facility. Badin residents, like the Carriker family, showed our troops some love and piled on the food and homemade desserts. We had host boaters, many of them veterans themselves, who took the time to show our heroes just how much they are appreciated.
Through the generosity of Calcutta Outdoors we were able to provide each participant with some great gear.
Thank you to all our volunteers and supporters who made this day possible. I know these heroes felt incredibly appreciated.
